## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

HE ACCOMPLISHED THREE TOUCH AND GOS AT 45G THEN LANDED AFTER APPROXIMATELY 1:40 FLIGHT TIME. AFTER LUNCH AT 1320 LOCAL TIME, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AGAIN FLEW THE PATTERN AT 800 TO 1000 FEET AGL AT 45G, ACCOMPLISHING ONE TOUCH AND GO ON RUNWAY 22. HE THEN PROCEEDED TO FLY THE PATTERN FOR LANDING ON RUNWAY 22, ON FINAL HE CLAIMS TO HAVE A WIND GUST WHICH CAUSED HIM TO LOSE ALTITUDE (UNSUBSTANTIATED CLAIM ACCORDING TO THE WEATHER REPORT ATTAINED BY THE DTW-FSDO), PIC STATED THAT HE INCREASED THROTTLE SETTING, HOWEVER IT WAS TOO LATE. AS HE CROSSED HYNE ROAD AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY 22 HE CROSSED OVER THE TOP OF A FORD FOCUS HEADING EAST ON HYNE ROAD WITH A DRIVER AND PASSENGER IN THE CAR, HITTING THEIR ANTENNA. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI07CA110](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI07CA110), Apr 21, 2007: Engineering & Research Ercoupe 415-C (N99811), Brighton, MI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot's failure to maintain proper glidepath to the runway. Contributing factors to the accident included the passenger vehicle, the rising embankment, and the airport perimeter fence.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
