## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) SHORTLY AFTER TAKE OFF FROM RWY 264, AND GAINING AN ALTITUDE OF @ 50 FEET, THE ELEVATOR CONTROLS JAMMED. THE AIRCRAFT DESCENDED BACK ON THE RUNWAY. THE HARD LANDING CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE MAIN LANDING GEAR, AND THE PROP STRIKING THE RUNWAY. AFTER A 400 FEET SKID THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP. AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED TO THE PILOT'S HANGAR. MY INSPECTION IN THE AIRCRAFT COCKPIT REVEALED A HANDHELD RADIO JAMMED IN THE FLIGHT CONTROL BELLCRANK. THE CONTROL STICK AND BELLCRANK IS LOCATED ON THE RIGHT SIDE (@ 5 O'CLOCK) OF THE COCKPIT. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE RADIO SLIPPED FROM HIS LAP DURING TAKE OFF ROLL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
