## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT MODEL CTSW. SOLO STUDENT PILOT WAS LANDING ON RUNWAY 28 WITH A CROSSWIND FROM THE RIGHT. AFTER LANDING, THE PILOT NOTICED HE WAS AIRBORNE AGAIN AND DRIFTING LEFT. HE APPLIED FULL POWER, THE LEFT WING DROPPED, AND THE AIRCRAFT TURNED LEFT. 49 YARDS FROM THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY, THE LEFT WING TIP CONTACTED THE GROUND AND THE AIRCRAFT CARTWHEELED. THE LEFT WING SEPARATED FROM THE FUSELAGE. THE LEFT AILERON AND FLAP SEPARATED FROM THE WING. THE TAIL SECTION SEPARATED FROM THE FUSELAGE, EXCEPT THE CONTROL CABLES REMAINED INTACT. THE ROTAX ENGINE WAS SEPARATED FROM THE FUSELAGE. PROPELLER DAMAGE INDICATES THE ENGINE WAS MAKING POWER AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. CONTROL CONTINUITY COULD NOT BE ESTABLISHED. THE PILOT SAID HE DID NOT BELIEVE THERE WAS ANY PROBLEM WITH THE CONTROLS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
