THE PILOT STATED THAT AS HE COMPLETED HIS LAST SPRAY RUN ON A RICE FIELD, HE DEPARTED THE AREA TO THE SOUTH, GAINED ALTITUDE, AND IMPACTED THE POWER LINES RUNNING PERPENDICULAR ACROSS THE FIELD. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI07CA131](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI07CA131), May 4, 2007: Grumman-Schweizer G-164B (N668FA), Humphrey, AR, destroyed. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain sufficient clearance between the airplane and the power lines. A factor was the power lines.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
