## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT LANDED ON RUNWAY 28 WITH A HARDER THAN NORMAL LANDING. PILOT DECIDED TO GO AROUND. THE SECOND LANDING ON RUNWAY 28 WAS NORMAL AND ON THE CENTERLINE. PILOT APPLIED BRAKES, THE RIGHT MLG BRAKE FAILED CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO TURN LEFT APPROXIMATELY 45 DEGREES. PILOT PUMPED THE RIGHT BRAKE TWICE AND THE BRAKE APPLIED. AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY. MINOR DAMAGE CAUSED TO THE RIGHT WING LEADING EDGE WHEN AIRCRAFT STRUCK A RUNWAY SIDE MARKER LIGHT. AIRCRAFT CONTINUED ON AND CAME TO REST IN SOFT GROUND RESULTING IN A PROP STRIKE. PILOT WAS NOT AWARE THAT DURING THE HARDER THAN NORMAL LANDING, THE RIGHT MLG BRAKE CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY. THE BLEEDER AND A PORTION OF THE BRAKE CALIPER HOUSING WAS GROUND OFF BY THE RUNWAY SURFACE. CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE BLEEDER AND THE GROUND IS APPROXIMATELY ONE INCH WHEN PARKED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
