## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE OWNER OPERATOR OF AN EXPERIMENTAL HOME BUILT AIRCRAFT N24543 WAS ATTEMPTING AN OFF FIELD LANDING IN A FARMER'S UNIMPROVED FIELD WHEN THE AIRCRAFT HIT THE GROUND HARD AND BOUNCED BACK INTO THE AIR. THE HARD LANDING BROKE THE AIRCRAFT'S LANDING GEAR AND THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED A PROPELLER STRIKE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, AND THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED MINOR DAMAGE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LATER REMOVED FROM THE FARMER'S FIELD BY TRUCK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
