## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT HE WAS FLYING N7760, A STITS PLAYMATE, SA11A, FROM PEN YEN AIRPORT IN NEW YORK (KPEO) TO CONNELLSVILLE, PENNSLVANIA (KVVS), A 330 MILE TRIP. THE TRIP WAS OVER 3 HOURS LONG, AT 4,000 FEET, ONE OF THE LONGEST FLIGHTS HE HAD EVER MADE. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT HE MADE A CALL TO CONNELLSVILLE AIRPORT ABOUT 30 MILES OUT AND THAT WAS THE LAST THING HE REMEMBERS. I EXPLAINED TO THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THAT I REVIEWED HIS LOG BOOK AND DISCOVERED THAT HIS LAST MEDICAL AND BFR WERE IN 2002. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED "HE WAS REMISS IN STAYING CURRENT." SUBMISSION OF THIS 8020-23 CLOSES THIS ACCIDENT REPORT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
