## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT DEPARTED BKE FOR THE APPROXIMATE 2 HOUR FLIGHT TO CXP. DURING THE APPROACH TO CXP, THE PILOT SELECTED GEAR DOWN AND NOTICED AN UNSAFE GEAR CONDITION. THE PILOT STATED THE GEAR HYDRAULIC PRESSURE APPEARED CORRECT; HOWEVER, THE RIGHT MAIN SHOWED UNSAFE. DURING AN OVER-FLY OF CXP, AN OBSERVER CONFIRMED THAT THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR WAS STILL IN A RETRACTED POSITION. AFTER VARIOUS UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPTS TO LOWER THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR, AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED. THE PILOT DIVERTED TO RNO AND PERFORMED A GEAR UP, FULL FLAPS LANDING. SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION REVEALED THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR HAD LODGED IN THE WHEEL WELL PREVENTING GEAR EXTENSION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
