## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT PERFORMED A TOUCH AND GO AT FALL BROOK AIRPORT. HE THEN PROCEEDED TO OCEANSIDE AIRPORT. HE LOWERED THE GEAR, OBSERVED GEAR SAFE LIGHT INDICATORS, AND ATTEMPTED TO LAND. AS HE FLARED JUST PRIOR TO LANDING, THE MAIN GEAR TOUCHED DOWN. AS HE LOWERED THE NOSE HE REALIZED WAS DROPPING FURTHER THAN NORMAL. AS HE APPLIED POWER HE FELT THE PROP STRIKE THE RUNWAY. HE DID NOT NOTICE A DROP IN ENGINE RPM. HE LIFTED OFF THE RUNWAY, RAISED THE GEAR AND EXECUTED AN IMMEDIATE GO-AROUND. HE RECYCLED THE GEAR AND OBSERVED THAT THE GEAR WAS LOCKED. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT EXCEPT FOR THE PROP STRIKE (THE ENGINE WAS REMOVED FROM THE AIRCRAFT AS PER THE LYCOMING AD).

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
