## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE ON APPROACH TO BOI RUNWAY 10R ON A 3 MILE FINAL, NW FLT. 579, AN AIRBUS 320 WAS STRUCK BY A GROUND BASED GREEN LASER. THE LASER ENTERED THE COCKPIT ON THE FIRST OFFICER'S SIDE CAUSING MOMENTARY DISORIENTATION AND IMPAIRED VISION. THE LASER ILLUMINATED THE OVERHEAD AND GLARESHIELD, BUT THE CENTER WINDSCREEN POST BLOCKED THE LASER FROM DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE CAPTAIN. ONCE THE FIRST OFFICER WAS ABLE TO REGAIN FOCUS, HE REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO ATC. THE SUSPECTS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INCIDENT WERE IDENTIFIED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
