## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER DEPARTING THE IDAHO HELICOPTER FACILITY (BOI) FOR THE ST. LUKES HELIPAD IN MERIDIAN IDAHO, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS NOTIFIED BY ATC THAT A NORTHWEST A320 WAS JUST STRUCK BY A GROUND BASED GREEN LASER. APPROXIMATELY 2.5 MILES FROM THE END OF RUNWAY 10R, THE PILOT'S ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HELICOPTER WAS ALSO STRUCK BY A GREEN LASER. HE WAS ABLE TO LOOK AWAY AND CLOSE HIS EYES MOMENTARILY TO AVOID DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE LASER. HE IMMEDIATELY INFORMED ATC OF THE INCIDENT. ATC ASKED IF HE COULD LOCATE THE SOURCE OF THE LASER AND GET A GPS FIX ON THE LOCATION. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS ABLE TO GET THE GPS FIX AS WELL AS OBSERVE INDIVIDUALS AT THE LOCATION. AT THE REQUEST OF ATC HE REMAINED AT THE LOCATION AND DIRECTED LAW ENFORCEMENT TO THE RESIDENCE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
