## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) INVESTIGATED ASSIGNED OCCURRENCE FROM WESTERN PACIFIC DAILY REPORT ON 06/06/07. REPORT INDICATED PILOT HAD "PROBLEMS WITH A WINDOW." SUBSEQUENT TELEPHONE INTERVIEW WITH COMPANY DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE REVEALED THAT WHAT IN FACT OCCURRED WAS THAT THE PILOT REPORTED HEARING A LOUD BANG, ACCOMPANIED BY THE DEPARTURE FROM THE AIRCRAFT OF APPROXIMATELY 60% OF THE SURFACE OF THE CO-PILOT'S WINDSHIELD. A SECTION OF THE GLARESHIELD WAS ALSO LOST WITH THE DECOMPRESSION EVENT. CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS MAINTAINED AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INJURY TO PERSONNEL. PILOT REPORTS NO RECOLLECTION OF BIRD STRIKE. COMPANY DOM FILED SDR & M OR D DOCUMENTATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
