## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THIS WAS AN ON DEMAND CHARTER FLIGHT CONDUCTED TO A BEACH LANDING SITE NEAR EGEGIK, ALASKA. THE PILOT REPORTED THE SAND SOFTER THAN NORMAL CAUSING THE NOSE WHEEL TO DUG IN ON ROLL OUT. THE PILOT INSPECTED THE NOSE GEAR AND ONLY FOUND A SMALL DENT IN THE COWLING BEHIND THE NOSE WHEEL. ALL FUNCTIONAL CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FLOWN SOLO TO HOME BASE. A FURTHER INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THE MOUNTING BULKHEAD FOR THE NOSE LANDING GEAR HAD BEEN BENT. THAT IS WHEN THE EVENT WAS REPORTED AS AN ACCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
