(-23) JUNE 25, 2007 A RV6A EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT CRASHED OFF THE APPROACH END OF RUNWAY 34 GREELEY, COLORADO (GXY) AT 11:48 LOCAL. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DESTROYED IN A POST CRASH FIRE WITH 2 FATALITIES. THE PRIVATE PILOT (ASEL) AND ONE PASSENGER (PRIVATE PILOT, ASEL) DEPARTED ERIE, COLORADO (EIK) BETWEEN 10 AND 10:30 ON A 14CFR91 FLIGHT. THE UNICOM RECORDING HAD NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DEN07LA108](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DEN07LA108), Jun 25, 2007: Schwarz RV-6A (N94KA), Greeley, CO, destroyed, 2 fatal. Probable cause: the pilot's failure to maintain airspeed resulting in an inadvertent stall and impact with terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
