## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AND CFI ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WERE ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON A 3830' X 160' GRASS STRIP IN LAKE CITY MICHIGAN. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS THE PILOT IN COMMAND WHEN, DURING THE LANDING ROLLOUT, HE LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND DAMAGED THE LANDING GEAR AND WING TIP. THE WEATHER WAS VFR AND THE WINDS WERE CALM ON THE DRY GRASS RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
