## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JULY 19, 2007 AT APPROXIMATELY 1730 HOURS, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, THE PILOT OF A MOONEY AIRCRAFT DEPICTING REGISTRATION NUMBER N5681Q, MADE A GEAR-UP LANDING ON RUNWAY 32 AT THE DANSVILLE AIRPORT LOCATED AT 176 FRANKLIN STREET, DANSVILLE, NEW YORK. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, UPON RETURNING TO THE DANSVILLE AIRPORT, FOLLOWING A BRIEF PERIOD OF FLIGHT, HE COMPLETED THE PRE-LANDING CHECKLIST IN PREPARATION FOR HIS LANDING AT THE AIRPORT, WHEN HE DISCOVERED HE HAD FORGOTTEN TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR AND SUBSEQUENTLY LANDED WITH THE GEAR RETRACTED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE UPON CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED BY TEH PILOT OR OTHER PERSONNEL ON THE AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY ENVIRONMENT AND THE AIRPORT RETURNED TO OPERATIONAL STATUS. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PROVIDED A STATEMENT TO IIC, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OF THE ROCHESTER FSDO, INDICATING THAT HE FORGOT TO PUT THE GEAR IN THE DOWN POSITION. THE INVESTIGATION OF THIS INCIDENT WAS CONCLUDED WITHOUT FURTHER INQUIRY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
