## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON AUGUST 03, 2007, A PIAGGIO P-180, N103SL, SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE WHEN IT PERFORMED A GEAR UP LANDING AT WESTCHESTER COUNTY AIRPORT (KHPN). THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING OPERATED BY AVANTAIR, INC. OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA. TIME OF INCIDENT THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING REPOSITIONED FROM KTEB TO KHPN. THERE WERE TWO CREW MEMBERS ON BOARD, NO INJURIES. THE PIC REPORTED THAT ON A VISUAL APPROACH TO RUWNAY 16 AT KHPN HE HAD A LANDING GEAR IRREGULARITY. THERE WAS NO GREEN "GEAR DOWN" LIGHT ON THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR. AFTER AN UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT THE CREW PROCEEDED TO THE EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION PROCEDURE. PIC COULD NOT COMPLETE THIS PROCEDURE BECAUSE THE HAND PUMP GOT STUCK. AFTER A FLY-BY THE TOWER STATED THAT THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR WAS NOT AT THE SAME ANGLE AND POSITION AS THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR. THE CREW COMPLETED A GEAR UP LANDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
