(-23) DURING CRUISE FLIGHT, THE PILOT SWITCHED FUEL TANKS AS PART OF ROUTINE FUEL MANAGEMENT, THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN NORMALLY. THE ENGINE BEGAN TO RUN ROUGH, THE PILOT TURNED THE BOOST PUMP ON AND SWITCHED BACK TO THE PREVIOUS TANK. THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN ROUGH, THE PILOT ELECTED TO LAND AT THE NEAREST AIRPORT. THE PILOT LANDED APPROXIMATELY TWENTY FEET SHORT OF THE RUNWAY, THE NOSE GEAR WAS DAMAGED AFTER STRIKING A THRESHOLD LIGHT, THE MAIN GEAR DAMAGED AFTER HITTING THE THRESHOLD.
