## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON AUGUST 12, 2007 AT APPROXIMATELY 0930, THE PILOT TOOK TO FLIGHT IN N8058J AT THE NEWBERG, OREGON, AIRPORT 2S6. AFTER TAKING THREE PASSES AT LANDING ON THE RUNWAY, ON CLIMB OUT ON THE THIRD PASS, THE AIRCRAFT STALLED, ROLLED TO THE RIGHT AND IMPACTED THE EARTH, IN A STORAGE FACILITY YARDS, 300 YARDS EAST OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT SAID THAT AIRCRAFT WAS HAVING ENGINE PROBLEMS. INTERVIEWING WITNESSES OF THE EVENT, TWO CERTIFICATED PILOTS INFORMED ME THAT THE ENGINE SOUNDED GOOD AND DIDN'T SOUND LIKE IT WAS HAVING PROBLEMS. THE PILOT WAS CIRCLING THE AIRPORT IN THE WRONG DIRECTION ADN MUCH LOWER ALTITUDE THAN NORMAL FOR THE AIRPORT TRAFFIC PATTERN. FURTHERMORE, THE TWO PILOTS ADDED THAT IT LOOKED LIKE THE PILOT DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING AND DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO LAND THE AIRPLANE.
