## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON AUGUST 16, 2007 AT 2000 LCL TIME, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LANDED AT THE HEBER CITY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (36U) IN HEBER, UT WITHOUT THE LANDING GEAR FULLY EXTENDED. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN ON ITS BELLY FORCING THE PARTIALLY EXTENDED GEAR BACK INTO THE WHEEL WELLS. THE FLAPS WERE DEPLOYED AT TOUCHDOWN AND WERE FORCED UPWARD INTO THE TRAILING EDGE OF THE WING CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE WING SKIN. THE AIRCRAFT WAS A BARON D55, N7947R, SERIAL NUMBER TE-705.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX07CA255](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX07CA255), Aug 17, 2007: Beech D55 (N7947R), Heber, UT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to lower the landing gear during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
