## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS PRACTICING TOUCH AND GOS. ON CLIMB OUT AIRCRAFT LOST POWER @ APPROXIMATELY 100FT AGL. PILOT MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON RUNWAY 23. ON ROLLOUT, PILOT PURPOSEFULLY GUIDED AIRCRAFT TO IMPACT A PIECE OF HEAVY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT (LOCATED ADJACENT TO RNWY 23) WITH THE LEFT WING. THIS ACTION WAS TAKEN SO AS TO IMMEDIATELY STOP THE AIRCRAFT'S FORWARD PROCESS. HAD HE NOT TAKEN THIS ACTION, THE AIRCRAFT WOULD HAVE CONTINUED ROLLOUT INTO AUTOMOBILE TRAFFIC ON A COUNTY ROAD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DEN07CA141](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DEN07CA141), Aug 21, 2007: Eaa Biplane P (N6193), Parker, CO, substantial damage. Probable cause: The loss of engine power for undetermined reasons. A contributing factor was the pilot's intentional maneuver into a piece of machinery.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
