## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 09-08-07 AT 17:45 MOONEY N353TW MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING AT THE KERRVILLE TX AIRPORT. THE NOSE GEAR WAS DAMAGED, AND THE PROP STRUCK THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE COULD NOT TRIM THE AIRPLANE TO THE NOSE UP POSITION. FURTHER INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC TRIM ON THE CONTROL YOKE WAS WIRED IN THE REVERSE POSITION. THE MANUAL TRIM WHEEL FUNCTIONED NORMALLY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DFW07IA204](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DFW07IA204), Sep 8, 2007: Mooney M20TN (N353TW), Kerrville, TX, incident, minor damage. Probable cause: The incorrect wire labeling, resulting in the trim controls operating in the opposite direction of the pilot's input.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
