## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 13, 2007 THE PILOT MADE A FIRM THREE POINT LANDING DAMAGING THE NOSE GEAR THEN SENSED A PROBLEM AND PULLED UP AND TRIED TO LAND AGAIN WHEN THE NOSE WHEEL AND GEAR DUG INTO THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT BALLOONED UPWARD AND THE PILOT APPLIED POWER BUT AT THAT POINT THE AIRCRAFT WAS LOSING LIFT. THE AIRCRAFT HIT THE NOSE WHEEL FIRST THEN THE PROPELLER HIT THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED AND FLIPPED OVER, SETTLING ON THE CANOPY AND THE VERTICAL STABILIZER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ATL07CA126](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ATL07CA126), Sep 12, 2007: Rans RV-9A (N269RV), Harvest, AL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper landing flare and touchdown.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
