## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT AIRCRAFT. THE OWNER WAS HAVING SOME IGNITION PROBLEMS AND SO DECIDED TO CHANGE ALL OF THE IGNITION PARTS. RUN-UP APPEARED NORMAL SO PERFORMED A TAKE-OFF. 5 MINUTES INTO THE TAKE-OFF THE ENGINE LOST IGNITION AND THE ENGINE SUBSEQUENTLY STOPPED. THE AIRCRAFT HIT SOME BUSHES AND TREES NEAR THE AIRPORT, SHEARING OFF THE LANDING GEAR AND SOME OTHER MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
