## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT/OWNER REPORTED THAT WIND GUSTS CAUGHT THE PLANE AS IT WAS ROLLING OUT, BLOWING THE AIRPLANE TO THE RIGHT. WHEN THE RIGHT MAIN RAN OFF OF THE RUNWAY THE GROUND WAS VERY SOFT, THE WHEEL PRESSED INTO THE GROUND CAUSING THE AIRPLANE TO TURN MORE TO THE RIGHT. WHEN THE LEFT WHEEL HIT THE SOFT DIRT THE AIRPLANE FLIPPED OVER ON ITS BACK, OFF OF THE RUNWAY AND ONTO THE TAXIWAY. THE LEFT TIRE TRACK WAS VISIBLE ON THE RUNWAY AND THE TRACKS IN THE SOFT GROUND WERE ALSO VISIBLE. PICTURES WERE TAKEN BY THIS INSPECTOR AND BY SPECTATORS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC07CA238](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC07CA238), Sep 20, 2007: Cessna 190 (N190BJ), Yulee, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control while landing. A factor in this accident was the crosswind condition.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
