## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 24, 2007 A RANS S-10, N2989A WHILE ON A HIGH SPEED TEST RUN HIT AN UNEXPECTED GUST OF WIND JUST BEFORE TAKE OFF SPEED. THE PLANE LIFTED OFF 15FT TO 20FT OFF THE GROUND AND THE PILOT FORCED THE AIRCRAFT DOWN CAUSING THE LANDING GEAR TO COLLAPSE AND THE PROP TO STRIKE THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO A STOP ABOUT 50 YARDS FROM THE IMPACT. THE PILOT EXITED THE AIRCRAFT SAFELY AND UNINJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
