ACCORDING TO A WITNESS (AN EXPERIENCED PILOT): AFTER TOUCHDOWN, AT NEAR THE NORMAL LOCATION, THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED UP APPROXIMATELY 15 FEET IN THE AIR AND FLEW LEVEL FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN PITCHED UP AND TO THE LEFT ABRUPTLY AFTER APPLYING POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT AND THE AIRCRAFT HIT TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY IN A LEFT WING LOW AND NOSE DOWN ATTITUDE AT NEAR THE SAME TIME. THE AIRCRAFT CAUGHT FIRE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE CRASH AND THE FIRE CONSUMED MOST OF THE FUSELAGE AND RIGHT WING. THE PASSENGER/INSTRUCTOR-PILOT WAS ABLE TO REMOVE HIMSELF FROM THE WRECKAGE AND TRIED TO GET THE LEFT-SEAT PILOT OUT AND COULD NOT. THE LEFT-SEAT PILOT SUFFERED FATAL INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT WAS OPERATED BY US CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION (CBP) PERSONNEL AND THIS ACCIDENT IS BEING FURTHER INVESTIGATED INTERNALLY BY THE CBP.
