## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT, N7149P, WAS DOING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS AT NAVASOTA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (60R). ON THE THIRD LANDING, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AND BOTH MAIN GEAR STRUTS PUSHED THROUGH THE TOP WING SKIN (CAUSING DAMAGE TO BOTH WING SPARS). THE AIRCRAFT PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND AT LEAST 10 TIMES, PUTTING GOUGES IN THE PAVEMENT. ALL 3 BLADES OF THE PROPELLER WERE DAMAGED. THE DISTANCE FROM FIRST STRIKE TO WHERE THE MARKS STOP IS APPROXIMATELY 95 YARDS. THERE WERE 2 PEOPLE ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DFW07CA211](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DFW07CA211), Sep 29, 2007: Piper PA-24-250 (N7149P), Navasota, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The hard landing as result of the pilot's improper landing flare.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
