## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE OWNER/PILOT OF N43472, AN EXPERIMENTAL LIGHT SPORT, KIT FOX IV, STATED: "I HAVE HAD SOME TROUBLE WITH THE GROUND HANDLING ON THIS AIRCRAFT SO I WAITED UNTIL LATE SUNDAY EVENING WHEN THERE WAS GOOD WEATHER AND NO WIND IN ORDER TO PRACTICE SOME MORE FAST TAXI AND GROUND HANDLING. I HAD NO INTENTION OF FLYING IT. I WAS PRACTICING GETTING THE TAIL UP AND SETTING IT BACK DOWN DURING FAST TAXI RUNS. I BEGAN A RUN DOWN RUNWAY 6 AND GOT THE TAIL UP, BUT ONCE THE TAIL WHEEL CAME BACK DOWN THE AIRCRAFT STARTED FISH-TAILING AND I LOST CONTROL. IT THEN WENT AROUND ON ME DAMAGING THE RIGHT MAIN WHEEL AND RIGHT WINGTIP."

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
