## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT WAS ENROUTE FROM SHREVEPORT, LA (SHV), TO GALLATIN, TN (M33). AIRCRAFT'S ENGINE EXPERIENCED SURGING SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO FUEL EXHAUSTING. ATTEMPTS TO RESTART THE ENGINE WERE UNSUCCESSFUL. THE AIRCRAFT CRASHED INTO A WOODED AREA ADJACENT TO A HOUSE LOCATED AT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. ON-SITE INVESTIGATION FOUND NO FUEL PRESENT IN SEVERELY DAMAGED FUEL TANKS AND NO APPRECIABLE FUEL PRESENT AT CRASH SITE. VERY LITTLE RESIDUAL FUEL ODOR AT CRASH SITE. EYEWITNESS STATEMENT CONFIRMED VISUALLY AND ORALLY THAT THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE WAS NOT DEVELOPING POWER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
