## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 10/14/2007 AT APPROXIMATELY 1200 HOURS, LR 55C, REGISTRATION NUMBER N177AM, SERIAL NUMBER 147 WAS TAKING OFF FROM CALGARY/SPRING BANK AIRPORT CALGARY ALBERTA, CANADA (CYBW) WITH FIVE PASSENGERS ON RUNWAY 25 WHICH IS 3423 FEET LONG. THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING OPERATED UNDER VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS. THE PILOT INTENDED TO USE RUNWAY 34, WHICH WAS 5000 FEET LONG AND LINED UP AND TOOK OFF FROM RUNWAY 25, WHICH WAS 3423 FEET LONG. THE AIRCRAFT OVERRAN THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND BECAME AIRBORNE; THE R/H MAIN WHEELS STRUCK A BERM CAUSING THE R/H LANDING GEAR HOUSING TO CRACK AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE UPPER WING SKIN ON THE R/H WING. THE AIRCRAFT REMAINED AIRBORNE AND DIVERTED TO CALGARY INTERNATIONAL (CYYC) AND LANDED SAFELY. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED IN AND DISEMBARKED THE PASSENGERS AND THE PILOT NOTIFIED THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY OF THE SITUATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
