## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PIC ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS BEING TRAINED BY CFI ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. THE TWO PILOTS WERE RETURNING FROM NORMAL COMMERCIAL TRAINING SESSION AND CFI WANTED STUDENT TO CONDUCT SIMULATED ENGINE OUT LANDING. NORMAL PATTERN ENTRY AND NO WEATHER INVOLVED. BOTH STUDENT AND CFI FAILED TO RECOGNIZE THAT GEAR WAS NOT EXTENDED. LANDED AIRCRAFT ON RUNWAY 5 WITHOUT EXTENDING THE GEAR. PROPELLER CAME TO AN IMMEDIATE STOP AND AIRCRAFT STOPPED SHORTLY AFTERWARDS ON RUNWAY. BOTH PILOTS EXITED THE AIRCRAFT UNHARMED. NO DAMAGE TO AIRPORT FACILITIES OR LIGHTING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
