## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A PARTIAL POWER LOSS WHILE CONDUCTING A LOCAL TRAINING FLIGHT. INSTRUCTOR PERFORMED AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN A FIELD WHICH WAS ACCOMPLISHED SUCCESSFULLY. SCHOOL PERFORMED AN ENGINE INSPECTION (SEE ATTACHED) AND DISCOVERED THE EXHAUST VALVE ASSEMBLY SCREW AND LOCK NUT HAD BECOME LOOSE AND WERE LYING ON THE CYLINDER'S ROCKER ARM BOSS BETWEEN THE EXHAUST AND INTAKE ROCKER ARMS. SCHOOL WILL BE ADVISED TO COMPLETE A M OR D REPORT AS WELL AS INSPECT OTHER AIRCRAFT OF THEIR FLEET WITH THE SAME ENGINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
