## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRPLANE LEFT THE RUNWAY TO THE RIGHT FOLLOWING LANDING AND SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR AND THE AFT AREA OF THE FUSELAGE. THE PILOT IN COMMAND STATED HE WAS CHECKING OUT ANOTHER PILOT FROM THE REAR SEAT WHERE HE HAD NO RUDDER CONTROL PEDALS. HE WAS, THEREFORE, NOT ABLE TO PREVENT THE FRONT SEAT PILOT FROM LOSING LONGITUDINAL CONTROL AFTER LANDING. THE SECOND PILOT WAS IDENTIFIED TO FAA REPRESENTATIVES AT THE SCENE AS A PASSENGER. SUBSEQUENT EFFORTS BY FAA PERSONNEL TO IDENTIFY AND CONTACT THE SECOND PILOT HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL TO DATE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
