## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AT APPROXIMATELY 1830L ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2007, N172WM, A CESSNA 172P, STRUCK A DEER WHILE LANDING AT CAPITOL AIRPORT (02C) IN BROOKFIELD, WI. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE LANDING SAFELY. WEATHER WAS NOT A FACTOR. THE PILOT INDICATED THERE APPEARED TO BE MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT MAIN GEAR FAIRING AND THE GLIDESLOPE ANTENNA. THE MKE FSDO SENT AN AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR TO THE AIRPORT ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2007, TO ENSURE THAT THE DAMAGE IS MINOR IN NATURE AND TO ENSURE THAT THE AIRCRAFT IS AIRWORTHY IN ORDER TO MAKE A FERRY FLIGHT FOR REPAIRS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
