## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE SECOND IN COMMAND WAS PERFORMING THE TAKEOFF IN N733SW ON RUNWAY 19 AT THE CHARLES B. WHEELER DOWNTOWN AIRPORT (MKC), KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI ENROUTE TO THE NEW CENTURY AIRCENTER AIRPORT (IXD), OLATHE, KANSAS. AS THE AIRCRAFT REACHED A SPEED ABOVE 80 KNOTS AND JUST BELOW V1, THE PILOT IN COMMAND NOTED THAT THE LEFT WING HAD DROPPED LOWER AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT ACCELERATING NORMALLY. THE PILOT IN COMMAND TOOK THE CONTROLS, ABORTED THE TAKEOFF, AND ELECTED TO STEER THE AIRPLANE INTO THE GRASSY AREA TO THE LEFT SIDE OF RUNWAY 19 TO AVOID HITTING THE APPROACH LIGHTS AND THE MISSOURI RIVER DIKE AT THE DEPARTURE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE INITIAL INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT BOTH LEFT MAIN TIRES HAD FAILED DURING THE TAKEOFF.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
