## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC08CA031](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC08CA031), Nov 11, 2007: Let L-33 Solo (N284BA), Louisburg, NC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The flight's encounter with an area of no thermal lift. Contributing factors to the accident were the pilot's inadvertent selection of unsuitable terrain with a hidden obstruction.
