## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON NOVEMBER 21, 2007, A COMMERCIALLY RATED PILOT WAS LANDING HIS CESSNA 421-C AIRCRAFT, N698DR ON RUNWAY 23 AT THE TERRE HAUTE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LOCATED IN TERRE HAUTE, INDIANA. THIS ASPHALT RUNWAY IS 9020 FEET LONG AND 150 FEET WIDE. DURING THE LANDING ROLL-OUT THE AIRCRAFT SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING, VEERED OFF TO THE RIGHT AND CAME TO A STOP IN THE GRASSY AREA NEXT TO THE RUNWAY. A TORQUE LINK BOLT ON THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR WAS FOUND TO HAVE BROKEN ALLOWING THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR TO MAKE AN UNCOMMANDED TURN TO THE RIGHT. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR THE AIRPORT PROPERTY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
