## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER TAKE-OFF FROM 28C, THE LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. THE LANDING GEAR WAS THEN EXTENDED TO DOWN AND LOCKED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO THE AIRPORT FOR A NORMAL LANDING ON 28L. INVESTIGATION BY JET CAR (412-812-3276) FOUND ICE ACCUMULATION ON THE NOSE LANDING GEAR UP STOP PADS. THE ICE WAS REMOVED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. CONTACTED BY PHONE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, PIT GROUND MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR. AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT, SNOW REMOVAL WAS TAKING PLACE THROUGHOUT THE AIRPORT. SNOW REMOVAL ON RUNWAY 28C WAS COMPLETED AT 2117E.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
