(-23) DURING A NIGHT APPROACH THE PILOT ATTEMPTED LANDING WITH INOPERATIVE RUNWAY LIGHTING. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED TO THE RIGHT OF RUNWAY 17, ROLLED APPROXIMATELY 170 FEET, THEN FLIPPED INVERTED AFTER THE NOSE WHEEL PLOWED INTO THE SOFT TERRAIN.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DFW08CA047](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DFW08CA047), Dec 21, 2007: Cessna 210 (N5957F), Medford, OK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's decision to attempt a night landing without runway lighting. A contributing factor was inoperative runway lights.

## Other reports on N5957F (1)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System.
