## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER EXITING RUNWAY, AIRMAN UTILIZED A DOWNHILL, TURNING TAXIWAY. IN THE DARKNESS HE LOST THE TAXIWAY CENTERLINE AND STRUCK A PARKED AIRCRAFT WITH THE LEFT WING TIP. AIRMAN USED A DOWNHILL, TURNING TAXIWAY THAT RESULTED IN AN UNEXPECTED ACCELERATION. IN THE DARK RAMP AREA, AIRMAN LOST SIGHT OF TAXIWAY CENTERLINE AND MISTAKENLY FOLLOWED A DASHED YELLOW LINE UNTIL HE SUDDENLY REALIZED THERE WAS A PARKED AIRCRAFT (NO INTENT TO FLY) TO HIS IMMEDIATE LEFT. BRAKE APPLICATION AND TURNING FAILED TO PRECLUDE CONTACT WITH THE PARKED AIRCRAFT.
