## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DECEMBER 28, 2007, ABOUT 1100 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME, A PIPER PA-28-161, N3152K, RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE WHEN IT SLID OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF RUNWAY 31 UPON LANDING AT THE SANFORD REGIONAL AIRPORT (SFM). THE CERTIFICATED PRIVATE PILOT AND ONE PASSENGER DID NOT REPORT ANY INJURIES. THE PILOT RECEIVED A COMPUTER WEATHER BRIEFING. THE PILOT DID NOT REVIEW THE NOTAMS FOR THAT AIRPORT AND WAS NOT AWARE OF THE RUNWAY CONDITIONS. A VFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED BUT NOT ACTIVATED. NORMAL APPROACH WITH LIGHT WINDS. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN AT 75 TO 70 KNOTS AT THE INTERSECTION OF RUNWAY 25-32. THE PILOT APPLIED BRAKES, AIRCRAFT PULLED LEFT SUDDENLY, NO RESPONSE. NO CORRECTIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED 100 YARDS DOWN THE RUNWAY AND CONTINUING TO DRIFT LEFT, HIT SNOW BANK, CONTINUED ANOTHER 10 FEET AND HIT DEEP SNOW.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
