## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON LANDING ON RUNWAY 16R AT 1113 PST, THE AIRPORT POLICE/FIRE DEPT PHOTOGRAPHS CLEARLY INDICATE THAT AS THE PILOT BEGAN APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE THE LEFT MAIN BRAKE OR SOME OTHER COMPONENT IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING THE BRAKE TO APPLY SUFFICIENT PRESSURE TO LEAVE AN UNBROKEN SKID MARK FOR ABOUT 100 FEET WHICH THEN CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO PITCH SLIGHTLY FORWARD, CAUSING THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE RUNWAY AND VEER THE AIRCRAFT OFF THE RUNWAY AND INTO THE GRASS. THE AIRPLANE WAS SLOW AT THE END OF THE LANDING ROLL. VERY MINOR DAMAGE AND NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
