## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE MESSERSCHMITT BK-117 HELICOPTER, N117AP, BEING OPERATED BY OMNIFLIGHT HELICOPTERS INC. WAS ON A 14 CFR PART 135 VFR FLIGHT FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI TO AN OFF AIRPORT LANDING SITE NEAR RISING SUN, INDIANA TO PICK UP A PATIENT THAT HAD BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ATV ACCIDENT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. WHILE ON APPROACH TO THE LANDING SITE, THE PILOT NOTICED THE LOSS OF RPMS TO HIS NUMBER TWO ENGINE FOR UNDETERMINED REASONS. A SUCCESSFUL SINGLE-ENGINE LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR INJURIES TO ITS OCCUPANTS NEAR THE ORIGINAL LANDING SITE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
