## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 01/01/2008, N8385K, APPROX TIME: 1330 PST, WAS PERFORMING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS AT F72. AFTER THE THIRD LANDING, THE ACFT CLIMBED OUT AND TURNED CROSSWIND. JUST PRIOR TO THE DOWNWIND TURN N8385K HAD AN ENGINE FAILURE. THE ACFT CONTINUED TO FLY UNTIL MAKING AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN AN OPEN FIELD, NEAR INTERSTATE 5, APPROX. 4 MILES FROM F72. NO ACFT/PROPERTY DAMAGE REPORTED. THE SOLE OCCUPANT WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
