## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JANUARY 05, 2008, CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME, A MULTI ENGINE BEECHCRAFT 95-55 AIRCRAFT, N1246Z SUSTAINED DAMAGE DUE TO AN EMERGENCY LANDING. PILOT WAS FORCED TO LAND RESULTING FROM AN UNSAFE DOWN AND LOCK GEAR INDICATION. THE OWNER/PILOT SAID HE INITIALLY DEPARTED FROM RUNWAY 17L IWTH A LEFT HAND CLOSED PATTERN. UPON DEPARTING THE PILOT NOTICED THAT HE DID NOT HAVE A GEAR UP INDICATION AFTER RETRACTING THE GEAR. THE PILOT REQUESTED TO THE TOWER FOR A FLY BY TO VERIFY THE GEAR POSITION. THE TOWER GRANTED THE REQUEST AND INDICATED THE GEAR APPEARED TO BE DOWN AND LOCKED. THE PILOT RECEIVED LANDING APPROVAL FOR RUNWAY 17L. UPON LANDING AND ROLL OUT THE PILOT HEARD A BANG AND ABORTED LANDING. THE PILOT COMPLETED EMERGENCY PROCEDURES IN THE POH. IT WAS VERIFIED BY THE TOWER FLYBY THAT IT APPEARED THAT THE MAINS WERE DOWN AND LOCKED BUT THE NOSE GEAR WAS PARTIALLY EXTENDED. THE PILOT REQUESTED AN EMERGENCY LANDING AND WAS CLEARED TO LAND ON 17L. THE PILOT STATED HE FOLLOWED THE PROCEDURES IN THE POH AND MADE A NOSE GEAR UP LANDING. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED, VFR CONDITIONS PREVAILED. NOTE: SEE PILOT'S STATEMENT, AS ATTACHED AS PART OF THIS REPORT PACKAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
