## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N3011V, CESSNA 150, WAS ENROUTE TO LINCOLN, NE (LNK) FROM MILLARD, NE (MLE), WHEN THE PILOT MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON A COUNTY ROAD DUE TO THE ENGINE QUITTING. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE. THE PILOT IN COMMAND STATED THAT THEY DEPARTED LNK FOR A RETURN FLIGHT TO MLE. UPON ARRIVAL IN THE MLE AREA, THE WEATHER WAS IFR BECAUSE OF FOG. THE PILOT ELECTED TO RETURN TO LNK. APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES EAST OF LNK, WITH THE FUEL GAUGE READING LESS THAN 1/4 FOR BOTH TANKS, THE ENGINE QUIT. THE PILOT LANDED ON A COUNTY ROAD. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD CHECKED THE WEATHER IN LNK ON THE COMPUTER IN THE LOBBY OF THE FIXED BASE OPERATOR. THE WEATHER WAS VFR AND FORECAST TO REMAIN THE SAME FOR THE FLIGHT. THE WINDS ALOFT WERE HIGHER THAN FORECAST WHICH EXTENDED THE TIME TRYING TO GET BACK TO LNK. AWOS REPORTS SHOWED THE WEATHER DETERIORATED RAPIDLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
