## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRMAN FAILED TO OBTAIN INFORMATION RELATING TO LANDING AREA CONDITIONS AND WEATHER AT DESTINATION. AIRMAN DID NOT CONTACT AIRFIELD OWNER OR OTHER COMPETENT SOURCE TO DETERMINE FIELD CONDITIONS. FAILED TO PROPERLY ASSESS RUNWAY SURFACE CONDITIONS UPON ARRIVAL. ATTEMPTED LANDING ON UPSLOPE GRADE (APPROXIMATE 10% GRADE). EXECUTED TOUCHDOWN AND FAILED TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. RUNWAY SURFACE IS ASPHALT PAVEMENT WHICH HAD SEVERAL INCHES OF WET SNOW/SLUSH. THIS SNOW/SLUSH APPEARS TO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO PILOT INABILITY TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. AIRCRAFT DEPARTED RUNWAY SURFACE TO THE RIGHT AND IMPACTED TWO CAR GARAGE WHICH WAS ADJACENT TO RUNWAY.
