## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APPROACH TO LANDING TO RUNWAY 01 AT THE CARTERSVILLE, GA (KVPC) AIRPORT DURING THE LANDING PHASE THE PILOT OF N6197Z LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT DURING A CROSSWIND LANDING. REPORTED WINDS AT KVPC WERE REPORTED AS GUSTY FROM APPROXIMATELY 320-350 DEGREES. THE AIRCRAFT LEFT THE PAVED SURFACE OF THE RUNWAY APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET BEYOND THE THOUSAND FOOT MARKERS AND TRAVELED APPROXIMATELY 1,200 FEET FORWARD ENDING IN A DITCH APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET TO THE RIGHT OF THE RUNWAY EDGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
