## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT LOST POWER UPON TURNING FINAL. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SHORT OF THE RUNWAY DUE TO LOSS OF POWER. THE REASON FOR THE POWER LOSS IS NOT KNOWN AT THIS TIME. MORE INFORMATION WILL BE SENT IN AN AMENDMENT WHEN IT IS OBTAINED. THE DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO THE NOSE GEAR AND A SLIGHT BEND ON THE PROP. THE ENGINE WILL BE INSPECTED AT A FURTHER DATE FOR MORE DAMAGE. THERE WAS WRINKLING ON THE BOTTOM OF THE WING NEAR THE STRUTS, BUT AFTER RESEARCH THE DAMAGE WAS FOUND TO BE FROM A PRIOR ACCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
